Tribe Body focuses on teaching the art of dance and
developing dance skills for people of all ages.
We have found that when people are taught the language of dance,

Tracy Flaherty is a New Jersey native who began dancing at the age of three. She started her dance experience at the Irene Fokine School in Ridgewood, NJ where a lifelong passion and commitment to the art of dance was born.
Tracy’s dance training includes the Irene Fokine School of Ballet; Joffrey School of Ballet, The American Ballet School; and the American Dance Machine. Tracy’s professional credits include being an Equity member with the American Dance Machine where she was under the direction of the famed Broadway musical choreographer and performer, Lee Theodore. Other credits include commercials, movies, and special events such asb ABC Omnibus Theatre, and the Chita Riveria Tribute. Over the years Tracy has performed with Dick Cavet, Paul Sorvino, Gwen Verdon, Lucy Arnez, Anne Reinking, Chita Riveria and Syd Charisee.

Tribe Body is a great studio! Great teachers! If you don’t want to travel to New York to take the highest level of dance, you don’t have to. Just go to Tribe Body! You will receive the highest level of proficiency with teachers who will give you the personal attention you will never get in New York. Having been a dancer my whole life, this is one of the only studios to provide a class for me that gives me the dance workout and choreography I can’t get anywhere else.

THanks for allowing me to escape mentally and physically from this unrpecedented quarantine we are all finding ourselves in. I needed that 60 min escape from my life, my kids, and my husband… and even though I may have danced like someone who has never danced before, I felt just the opposite and didn’t care. I’ll be signing up again for sure. Thank you again!!

I took Sophia’s lyrical class. She was so wonderful and patient. She took the time to review and explain the choreography so everyone felt comfortable.
Signing up for a class is tedious-that could be made more user friendly.
Quality of instruction; fitness level of instructors; full hour length of classes; musical choices; pacing of the classes; level of challenge is correct for a 50ish woman who is a life long gym rat who does Zumba, Step, and weight training daily who seeks instructors that are “a level above”; professionalism – no hard sales pitch, classes start and end on time; audio and video are high quality for Zoom classes; owner is so dedicated to the business – efficiently handles communications for Zoom links herself. OK to share my name but not my business association. I did not check the box because of the business restriction.
Tracy is a great teacher in person and on zoom. She pays close attention to detail and gives a great dance cardio workout.

Absolutely great class from Giulia…was really alarmed that no one was wearing masks inside though! Will wait until pandemic is over to take more in person classes

Classes are fun and intense which allows for anyone to challenge themselves and get in amazing shape. They have risen to the occasion during the pandemic and now offer Zoom classes which gives me the flexibility to fit the class into my busy schedule.

Yesterday was my daughters first class at Tribe. The studio was clean, everyone was friendly and helpful, and she loved the class!

I love everything about Tribe! It is a sisterhood of women whose passion is dance. We are here for each other to celebrate the good times & to be there for each other during the challenging times in life! Throughout it all, Tracy and all of her teachers do everything possible to take care of us physically, socially & emotionally. Currently to survive this situation, she has reached out to us through Virtual Dance classes. They are truly our silver lining in our days. I love Tribe. Amazing, NYC quality dance classes, teachers and students are wonderful people. I can’t get enough of my tribe classes and feel so blessed to be able to take fantastic dance classes close to home. I searched for a studio like tribe for years and years.
